Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your legal expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving successful outcomes in large-scale and complex infrastructure projects. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business, provide strategic legal support on public tenders and government procurement processes, and lead negotiations with clients and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead legal aspects of public tenders, government procurement processes, and competitive bids in the Middle East to ensure compliance with procurement laws and tender regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal support to teams on large-scale and complex projects, including risk allocation, structuring, and contractual strategy.
  • Take full ownership of PPP projects from the bid stage through financial closing.
  • Structure, review, draft, and negotiate high-value contracts (e.g., D&B contracts, consortium agreements).
  • Advise on risk assessment and mitigation strategies from bid preparation until contract signature.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and partners.
  • Support claims strategy in coordination with Contract Management teams and manage disputes in collaboration with external lawyers.
  • Handle corporate law matters.
  • Promote Alstom's Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Provide training on Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and competition law.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Law, specializing in Business Law (Master II).
  • Experience or understanding of public procurement processes and government tenders.
  • Knowledge of international complex and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with drafting and negotiating high-value contracts, including D&B and consortium agreements.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate legal risks in complex projects.
  • Experience in managing disputes and working with external legal counsel.
  • Understanding of corporate law matters.
  • Knowledge of PPP (Public-Private Partnership) processes.
