The Senior Logistics Manager oversees the end-to-end logistics operations, focusing on the efficient movement, storage, and documentation of vehicles, spare parts, and related automotive assets. The role ensures smooth coordination between international shipping, customs, inland transport, and warehouse operations while maintaining compliance with automotive industry standards and UAE regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:1. Logistics & Transportation Management
- Plan, manage, and oversee inbound and outbound logistics for vehicles, parts, and equipment.
- Coordinate international shipments (air, sea, and land), including export/import documentation.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport vendors.
- Optimize transportation routes, cost efficiency, and transit times.
2. Automotive Operations
- Oversee vehicle handling processes, including inspection, storage, and delivery.
- Ensure all vehicle movements comply with manufacturer standards and UAE RTA regulations.
- Manage logistics for test events, exhibitions, and vehicle movements within GCC countries.
- Coordinate with workshops, detailing teams, and logistics partners for vehicle readiness and dispatch.
3. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor a logistics team including coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
- Ensure staff training in safety, handling, and transport protocols.
4. Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Prepare and manage logistics budgets, tracking KPIs such as cost per shipment and on-time delivery rate.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate competitive rates with suppliers and carriers.
- Streamline workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in logistics operations.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Customs, Chamber of Commerce, and Ministry of Economy regulations.
- Oversee vehicle documentation — including export certificates, customs declarations, and shipping papers.
- Maintain complete shipment records, insurance documentation, and audit files.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the automotive or high-value vehicle sector.
- Strong understanding of international freight (air, sea, land) and UAE import/export regulations.
- Proven experience in managing teams and third-party logistics providers.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/logistics systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
