General Manager – Distribution / Trading

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the operations and growth of a rapidly expanding distribution company in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trading, supply chain management, and business development, with a passion for building efficient systems and driving profitability.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations, commercial strategy, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end operations including procurement, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement operational systems to ensure efficiency, quality control, and cost optimization.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms to secure the best pricing and supply reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local regulations, permits, and trade requirements.

Sales & Market Development

  • Lead B2B sales strategy to grow the customer base across retail, hospitality, and distribution sectors.
  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand product reach.
  • Oversee client relationship management and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.

Financial & Administrative Leadership

  • Manage budgets, pricing strategy, and profit margins to achieve financial targets.
  • Oversee financial reporting, cost control, and cash flow management.
  • Support the development of long-term business plans and performance KPIs.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage team members across operations, logistics, and sales.
  • Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative work culture.
  • Set clear goals and regularly evaluate team and individual performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in general management, operations, or trading within the UAE or GCC.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, import/export, and distribution management.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • UAE driving license preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
