Senior Manager, Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, including VAT
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring timely task completion.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights to management.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
  • Taxation: Oversee VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
  • System Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, Great Plains, Hyperion) for financial reporting and analysis.

Typical Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are often preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience in the UAE market is highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Tally preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
