This key role will oversee the financial reporting and internal controls of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will manage a team responsible for producing accurate financial reports, implementing robust control frameworks, and facilitating audits. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing our financial processes and systems to achieve efficiency and reliability in reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial reporting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management and board reviews, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits with external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on financial reporting and controls practices.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and reporting standards to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, addressing variances as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting and controls, preferably in a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing financial teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
