Senior Manager Content - Williams Sonoma

The Content Team leads organic social, video, editorial, and copy across catalog and digital channels.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Content leads the strategy, development, and execution of Williams Sonoma Home’s editorial and digital content across ecommerce and organic social channels. This role oversees the social media team and is responsible for driving cohesive storytelling across site, social, and top-of-funnel marketing. The ideal candidate is passionate about interiors, furniture, and design, with a strong editorial eye and a performance mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute seasonal content strategies aligned with brand merchandising themes and marketing campaigns, in partnership with the Creative Director
  • Lead organic social strategy across platforms, overseeing content calendars, publishing cadence, and channel growth
  • Manage and mentor the Associate Social Media Manager
  • Define editorial priorities and identify new content opportunities to enhance the customer shopping journey
  • Own buying guides, product groupings, and seasonal editorial features
  • Identify opportunities to amplify content across digital and social channels
  • Leverage existing creative assets while identifying opportunities for new content development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Site Merchandising, Creative, PR, and Williams Sonoma Kitchen teams to drive integration and alignment
  • Optimize onsite content destinations to improve discoverability, engagement, and conversion
  • Write and edit headlines and top-of-funnel marketing copy
  • Monitor performance metrics across ecommerce and social channels, translating insights into actionable recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial, or digital marketing
  • Experience managing social media channels and direct reports
  • Demonstrated editorial or feature writing experience
  • Deep knowledge of interiors, decorating, and design trends
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Onsite in the San Francisco (Van Ness) office Monday–Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $112,100 - $133,150. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
