Senior Manager Data Delivery and Governance

Job Summary:

Manager of Data Delivery and Governance will lead our data systems integration delivery and governance team by supporting critical healthcare payer integrations and enterprise data management initiatives. This role will oversee a team of data integration systems analysts responsible for understanding payer data requirements, designing data integration solutions, and ensuring robust data governance practices across the data initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong healthcare data knowledge, technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure data integrity, compliance, and readiness for engineering execution.

Job Description:
Payer Data Integration & Requirements Management
  • Serve as primary liaison between internal teams and external payers to understand data integration needs
  • Lead discovery sessions with payers to document technical specifications, data elements, and business requirements
  • Development and maintenance of comprehensive source-to-target mapping documentation for data warehouse processes
  • Ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical specifications
  • Manage multiple concurrent payer integration projects and prioritize based on business impact
  • Partner with Data Engineering and architects to ensure integration readiness and alignment with enterprise architecture.
Data Quality Management
  • Define and implement data quality rules and monitoring frameworks for all critical data pipelines.
  • Establish automated data validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of integrated data.
Governance & Standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Data Officer to align data delivery and governance initiatives with enterprise data strategy.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies, including metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain integration playbooks and best practices for payer/vendor onboarding.
  • Support data governance initiatives and roll out tools for metadata, lineage, and quality management.
Data Product Rollout & Adoption
  • Work with cross-functional teams to roll out data product across the organization.
  • Ensure data products are user-friendly, well-documented, and aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor usage and performance of data products post-launch, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with training and change management teams to drive user adoption and maximize business value.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of integration analysts, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Work closely with CDO and business stakeholders to establish the business value of each data product that is scoped for development and support project communication as necessary
  • Integrate integration analysts as product owners within agile scrum teams to drive business alignment.
  • Ensure integration stories are delivered on time and are fully prepared for engineering implementation
  • Implement agile project planning for data integration deliverables, maintaining a healthy backlog and sprint readiness.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (claims, HEDIS, payer integrations).
  • Familiarity with scrum/agile methodologies and Jira.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, proactive problem-solving, and a results-driven approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, and Snowflake; experience with enterprise data integration tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence decision-making at the executive level.
  • High level of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years in data management, integration, or governance roles.
  • 3+ years in a leadership position managing data delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Catalog, Atlan, Collibra, Alation) and quality frameworks.
  • Expertise in tools such as SQL and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive agile delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Travel requirements: Travel may be required up to 15% locally or nationally
