Job Purpose:


Looking for an experienced individual to join our Finance team as a Senior Manager Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of the financial reporting system, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of Financial Statements including disclosures and liaison with the external auditor. The role involves thorough understanding of IFRS, SECP and SBP requirements, core banking system and reporting structures. Work independently in designing efficient reporting solution and ensure to deliver accurate reports on timely basis.


Key Result Areas:

Reporting System Development and Implementation

  • Manage the development and implementation of Reports with streamlined data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT and Analytics teams to ensure seamless integration of Reporting requirement with overall reporting infrastructure.


Financial Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to the bank accounting policies and procedures for day-to-day accounting and reporting.
  • Preparation of accurate Quarterly / Annual Financials and ensure submission of audited financials to the respective Regulatory Authorities / Central Banks and publication.
  • Ensure timely preparation to meet regulatory timelines.
  • Liaison with stakeholders in other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Liaison with external auditors and share necessary data on a timely basis.
  • Stay current with the latest IFRS, SBP and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of systems and reporting tools.
  • Explore options to automate the existing manual tasks in order to bring efficiency and accuracy in the reporting.

Understanding of Business and products to prepare and design accurate reports.


Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships:

Adherence to IFRS and SBP reporting regulations and guidelines including timeliness and accuracy to avoid inherent financial risk, reduce cost and avoid punitive action from regulatory authorities to safeguard bank’s image.

The jobholder needs to have good working relationships with colleagues within Finance and other departments and Regulators.

Problem Solving:

Implement and monitor controls to ensure that the quality of information produced is accurate and maintain due controls on the inherent risks and identification of system related weaknesses, for improvements, investigations and rectifying the same to prepare accurate and timely information as per regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for quality and timeliness.
  • Responsible for ensuring integrity and accuracy of information.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification: ACCA / MBA-Finance or equivalent.
  • Experience:4-5 years in a similar role with a focus on Financial Reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and reporting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
