Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Manager, Global Customs will lead Customs Brokerage product development and support the commercial team in winning and implementing large-scale opportunities. The role is responsible for planning and executing the Customs Brokerage strategy in coordination with senior leadership and regional teams.
The position oversees end-to-end customs clearance operations, ensuring compliance, timely delivery, operational efficiency, and high service standards. It is also responsible for managing the Customs Brokerage P&L and delivering EBIT targets aligned with business objectives. The role drives continuous improvement, leadership development, and change management within the function.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Customs Brokerage product development and business growth initiatives
- Develop and execute Customs Brokerage strategy in coordination with leadership teams
- Manage end-to-end customs clearance operations ensuring compliance and timely execution
- Oversee P&L performance and deliver EBIT targets
- Support commercial teams in winning and implementing key business opportunities
- Drive operational excellence, cost optimization, and service quality improvements
- Lead, coach, and develop the customs brokerage team
- Ensure compliance with international customs laws, regulations, and policies
- Manage subcontractors and procurement related to customs operations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in regional reviews on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards
- Ensure alignment with global HSE standards and operational best practices
- Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or freight forwarding
- At least 3 years in a senior leadership role managing teams and operations
- International experience in customs/logistics preferred
