Role Summary

The Senior Manager Internal Audit is responsible for overseeing internal controls, risk management, and financial governance across group entities. The role ensures compliance, financial discipline, and effective coordination between finance, operations, and management. This position supports strategic decision-making by providing insights into key financial and operational trends and by strengthening the group’s governance and reporting framework.

1. Risk & Internal Controls

  • Conduct internal reviews and audits to identify process gaps and control weaknesses across all departments.
  • Recommend practical process and control improvements and follow up on their implementation.
  • Track audit recommendations and prepare consolidated summary reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to embed preventive controls within business processes.
  • Maintain and update the risk register, highlighting key risks, mitigation plans, and ownership.
  • Conduct internal awareness sessions to promote control consciousness and accountability.

2. Offshore Finance & Compliance

  • Oversee compliance, reporting, and governance requirements for offshore entities.
  • Coordinate with banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities for documentation, filings, and account operations.
  • Ensure timely statutory renewals, filings, and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor offshore investments and transactions to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support new company setups, restructurings, and cost-efficient compliance frameworks.

3. Strategic Finance & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical reports to provide timely insights into financial and operational performance.
  • Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews through data-driven analysis.
  • Assist in system enhancements, including ERP and financial reporting improvements, to align financial data with operations.
  • Provide financial, risk, and compliance input for new projects, business evaluations, and partnerships.

4. Coordination & Leadership

  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, Legal, and external stakeholders such as banks and consultants.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and guide departments on control ownership and best practices.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide team members to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting and clear communication across all departments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong grasp of finance, accounting, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of offshore compliance and tax frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 6–10 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or financial control.
  • Exposure to cross-border finance or group-level reporting preferred.
