Job Summary :
Responsible to manage procurement of all local raw, packing & indirect materials at right cost, right quality & right time. Also search & introduce new vendors for the competitive prices and improved quality. Manage over all purchasing activities carried out at Landhi & Korangi Sites as per compliance of SOPs and purchasing control standards. Facilitate financial, internal, external & regulatory audits pertaining to purchasing functions.
Major Responsibilities :

Manage and supervise over all procurement activities carried out in the Local Purchase Section.

Review MRP report with Materials Planning Section for placement of new purchase orders.

Review EMR report and ensure on time availability of materials as per the firm dispatch list.

Interaction with the vendors, QA, Engineering and Production for new vendor approvals.

Liaison with Government Agencies/Regulatory Authorities such as Provincial & Central Excise Departments, Explosives Department, Federal Anti-Narcotics Force, DRAP etc. regarding application/renewal of licenses / bonds / guarantees.

Manage and supervise the arrangement of rectified alcohol supply through Excise Department.

Review & approval of price comparison (BID sheet) and Purchase Orders of all vendors/suppliers related to raw, packaging materials and other goods/services.

Manage and supervise scheduled & special audits and visits of vendors / suppliers.

Liaison with vendors, QA, Engineering and Production departments for the new vendor approvals.

Liaison with all concerned departments and vendors for resolve technical problems.

Coordination with Finance for timely payments to vendors and settlement of advances.

Assist Director (Supply Chain) in expense budgeting, project of LRP & CEP of Local Purchase.

Ensure all the KPIs pertaining to purchasing are published as per target date.

Review / Approval of SOPs pertaining to Purchase Section & ensure its compliance.

The incumbent will be responsible to ensure and supervise all necessary records maintenance by concerned subordinates pertaining to their area of responsibility as per record retention policy & documentation practice.

Any other job assigned by the Seniors / Departmental Head or Director (Supply Chain).
Education/Knowledge & Experience :
-
Graduate / preferably MBA in Supply Chain

10 to 12 years relevant experience and knowledge of other Supply Chain functions

Teamwork & Managerial Skills

Knowledge of Procurement Process
