Job Overview:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Senior Manager - Planning at Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

• Develop a comprehensive work breakdown structure (WBS) that decomposes the project into manageable tasks and subtasks. Ensure that all project activities are detailed and categorized appropriately.
• Monitor the progress of tasks and activities against the project schedule. Update task completion status and record any deviations from the planned timeline.
• Use performance metrics such as earned value management (EVM) to assess project performance. Analyze variances between planned and actual progress to gauge project health.
• Collaborate with project managers and team leads to allocate resources (e.g., personnel equipment, materials) efficiently across tasks and phases. Ensure that resource allocation aligns with project priorities and constraints.
• Assess resource capacity and availability to optimize utilization. Avoid overloading resources and ensure that resource allocation aligns with project requirements and timelines.
• Predict future resource needs based on project progress and upcoming tasks. Make adjustments to resource plans as needed to address any anticipated shortages or surpluses.
• Create and distribute regular progress reports to project stakeholders, including detailed updates on task status, milestones, and overall project performance. Use visual aids such as Gantt charts, progress graphs, and dashboards to convey information effectively.
• Communicate progress updates, schedule changes, and performance metrics to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Address any concerns or questions raised by stakeholders.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks. Strategies may include contingency planning, risk transfer (e.g., subcontracting), or schedule buffers.
• Communicate schedule-related issues and their potential impacts to stakeholders. Ensure that all parties are informed of any changes or adjustments required to address issues.

About you:

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sector.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
