Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking someone responsible for sourcing and procuring the materials, equipment, and services necessary to support wind energy projects. Their role is crucial in ensuring that wind farm development, operations and maintenance have timely access to high-quality components- such as turbines, blades, and related infrastructure- While managing costs and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role will also involve understanding the unique business needs of our clients and identifying new solutions and strategies to generate revenue and exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional customer relationship management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and assess suppliers capable of delivering wind-specific components and services, evaluating them based on cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Purchase Order and RFP Management: Prepare and manage purchase orders and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with technical support, project management, and operations teams to identify procurement needs, develop purchasing strategies, and support project timelines and objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on wind projects.
- Cost Management: Support project managers with cashflow analysis and cost management as purchase orders and subcontracts are executed.
- Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new solutions to increase revenue from assigned accounts.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, support) to ensure customer needs are met and provide regular updates and insights on account status to management.
Essential:
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in procurement or supply chain management specifically in a technical industry setting, purchasing mechanical and/ or electrical parts
- Proven experience as an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar role in a client-facing environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Deep understanding of the wind energy sector, including technical specifications and quality requirements for wind turbine components and related services.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP R3
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to identify customer needs and effectively propose appropriate solutions.
