Position Summary

This position will be responsible for driving the successful execution of CVS Health’s most critical and complex IT initiatives and programs. Via close partnership with CVS Health executives and senior leaders, this Senior Manager - Scrum Master, role will be responsible for helping scope major global strategic initiatives, and then guiding their end-to-end execution to ensure business-driven results and transformative outcomes. The position supports enterprise-wide goals to significantly improve IT project delivery in execution speed and effectiveness, driving a consistent approach, and understanding and supporting the unique business requirements of CVS Health. This position will be part of a team of Program Managers and Project Managers taking accountability for the most important and complex IT projects and programs, working to ensure the goals are achieved. In close partnership and collaboration with Business Leaders outside of IT, this position will be accountable for elements of program management, coordination and execution. It will be essential that this Senior Manager not only have outstanding program management skills, but also exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills. The successful candidate will possess broad business acumen in addition to the theoretical and practical application of program management and software delivery life cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Scrum, Agile, SAFe. Outstanding partnership management and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence across the enterprise.

In this role, you will:

• Operate in a global, highly complex and fast changing environment.
• Work directly with internal clients at all levels (e.g., finance, customer service, sales and marketing) and external vendors.
• Prioritize business initiatives and resource allocation recommendations and deployment.
• Align, manage, and track change across multiple programs.
• Lead by adopting organizational change and managing change throughout the organization.
• Prioritize business initiatives and ensure resource allocations support business prioritizations.
• Provide trusted consultancy leadership to the business.

Location

Hybrid in Woonsocket, RI or Scottsdale, AZ preferred. Will consider remote.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading program management efforts within large, complex environments
• 5+ years experience managing a team and working effectively and efficiently in a highly-matrixed global organization.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience using a wide variety of program and project management tools and techniques (Rally, Jira, Clarity, MS Project).
• 5+ years of demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing large-scale project implementations from start to finish, strong financial/budget management experience.
• Strong experience in healthcare industry or Pharmacy background in leading modernization efforts including infrastructure upgrades in an enterprise wide setting.

• Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards including honesty, integrity, dedication, and leadership.
• Proven experience in utilizing various program management and software delivery life cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Scrum, Agile, SAFe, Waterfall.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline with information technology focus required.
• Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering an added plus.
• Scrum certification, CPMAI certification is a plus.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
