Role Overview:
The Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Manager for Strategic Procurement to take the helm of its procurement initiatives. Qiddiya is positioned as a pivotal project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on creating a globally recognized entertainment and cultural destination. The Senior Manager will develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with the ambitious goals of this transformative project.
This role demands a strategic thinker who can excel in a fast-paced environment, managing supplier relationships and ensuring that procurement activities meet both operational needs and long-term strategic objectives. With significant budget oversight responsibilities, this position is critical to the success and sustainability of the organization’s procurement function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement Leadership
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with Qiddiya's project objectives, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.
- Lead the procurement team to ensure the effective delivery of sourcing and purchasing functions across all categories.
2. Supplier and Relationship Management
- Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders to drive value throughout the procurement process.
- Negotiate contracts to secure optimal terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and frameworks.
- Evaluate and optimize supplier performance through comprehensive analysis and regular reviews.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with various departments to assess needs and implement procurement plans that align with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication between teams to ensure that procurement strategies support operational and project delivery needs.
4. Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify potential risks within the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business operations.
- Ensure that procurement activities comply with local regulations, sustainability practices, and government mandates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management, preferably in large-scale projects.
- Strong negotiation and people management skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated expertise in executing procurement strategies in line with company objectives and managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
