Senior Materials Engineer | UAE

A leading international engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a highly experienced " Senior Material Engineer " to support major infrastructure projects across the UAE. With decades of regional expertise, This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects involving interchanges, highways, underpasses, bridges, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Witness and verify all laboratory and in-situ tests conducted by contractors or third-party testers.
• Prepare and manage material samples for testing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Work Inspectors to confirm testing approvals and resolve any technical concerns.
• Monitor and inspect delivered materials to ensure compliance with approved sources and specifications.
• Review and approve material testing reports and acceptance documentation.
• Participate in and support quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Materials, or related discipline).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction projects involving bridges, roads, infrastructure, and irrigation.
• Prior RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) or Dubai Central Laboratory approval is A plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven experience in materials engineering , QA/QC , and construction industry standards .
• Strong knowledge of laboratory and field-testing procedures for construction materials.
• Ability to perform efficient and accurate sampling and testing .
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with contractors, inspectors, and engineers.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations on construction sites.
