Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

A Senior Mechanical Engineer in construction designs, implements, and manages HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for buildings, leading project teams, collaborating with other disciplines (architects, electrical), ensuring code compliance, mentoring juniors, overseeing site work, and managing technical documentation (drawings, specs, reports) from concept to completion, focusing on feasibility, performance, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design for buildings, creating complex calculations, drawings (BIM/Revit), and specifications.
• Manage project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control for mechanical aspects.
• Oversee mechanical/plumbing installation on-site, ensuring adherence to plans, standards, and safety, and resolve technical issues.
• Provide advanced engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and validation for designs, systems, and equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, fostering growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Interface with clients, architects, electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated, successful project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, design memos, and status updates.
• Maintain expert knowledge of codes (e.g., ASHRAE) and ensure designs meet all health, safety, and environmental standards.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection).
• Minimum 10 years of experiences in UAE.
• Proficiency in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and building physics modeling software.
• Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
