Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Company

BTU Electromechanical Works LLC is a Design & Build MEP Contractor specializing in fit-out and building projects across Dubai. We are expanding into mid-rise developments and are looking for a capable Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the execution of a G+10 building project.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong UAE experience in high-rise building projects. The candidate must be capable of handling the complete project cycle—from design coordination and authority approvals to execution, testing, and handover for HVAC and Plumbing systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering (HVAC + Plumbing)

• Heat load calculations and equipment selection
• ESP calculations, duct sizing, chilled water pipe sizing
• Pump head calculations and plumbing system design
• Water supply, drainage, storm water & fire fighting design
• HVAC & plumbing design coordination

Execution, Site Coordination & Authority Approvals

• Review shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Material submittals and approvals
• Supervise HVAC and plumbing installation works with QA/QC
• Coordinate with MEP and civil teams
• Manage submissions and approvals with authorities (DM, DEWA, DCD)
• Handle consultant comments and ensure compliance

Testing & Commissioning

• Lead HVAC and plumbing testing & commissioning
• Air balancing, water balancing, and system performance checks
• Ensure smooth handover and closeout

Commercial & Technical Coordination

• Review BOQ vs drawings and identify discrepancies
• Support value engineering and cost optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience (UAE mandatory)
• Experience in high-rise projects (G+15 and above preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC & Plumbing systems
• Hands-on experience in design + execution + commissioning

Software Skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit (preferred)
• HAP / Elite / similar HVAC software (advantage)

• Experience in Design & Build MEP contractors
• Ability to work in a lean and fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Capable of handling responsibilities independently

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
