Senior Mechanical Engineer

Candidzone is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical operations and maintenance within the Facilities Management (FM) sector. In this critical role, you will oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive maintenance excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical and MEP systems (including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection) across managed facilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
• Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of mechanical engineers and technical staff.
• Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for energy conservation, cost reduction, and operational improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage mechanical upgrades and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Experience: 15+ years of overall professional experience, with a strict minimum of 5 years working directly in the Facilities Management (FM) field.
• Education: BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certifications: Holding a CFM (Certified Facility Manager) Certificate is required.
• Knowledge: Extensive technical knowledge of complex mechanical systems, building management systems (BMS), and FM best practices.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, analytical problem-solving, and project management abilities.
