Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for ensuring the developing and providing the required support in all matters related to mechanical maintenance in collaboration with relevant business units to ensure performing required repair activities to maintain a proper flow of operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of mechanical maintenance’ systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.

Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions such as and not limited to (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc..).

Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.

Ensure execution of mechanical maintenance activities and implement a daily schedule and reschedule any missed or extra activity when applicable.

Ensure conducting spot checks as necessary to ensure overall mechanical maintenance activities are in line with plans, guidelines, and budget.

Ensure proper monitoring of the progress and decide on applicable corrective actions and related instructions in addition to needed spare parts.

Ensure communication to O&M parts and material management team regarding all the required maintenance materials to ensure their prompt follow-up and coordination.

Ensure performing proper inspections and monitoring rounds to make sure maintenance is carried out in a timely manner.

Ensure record inspection results with related stakeholders and support in the assessment of possible corrective actions.

Ensure delivery and development of training and awareness sessions on new equipment operating manuals to explain functionalities and maintenance aspects to needed teams.

Ensure monitoring of mechanical maintenance faults, failures, and reasons for discrepancies to improve mechanical maintenance performance by applying new approaches or requesting new assets.

Coordinate with outsourced maintenance agencies to conduct corrective action when applicable or update mechanical maintenance schedule when in-house unplanned maintenance is needed, taking into consideration available teams, their competencies, and maintenance order of priority.

Provide input for vendor performance evaluation reports based on related filled logs and suggest actions to improve mechanical maintenance vendors’ services.

Prepare periodic mechanical maintenance reports to evaluate equipment and machines’ performance and assess whether equipment and machines are designed to meet intended service requirements.

Ensure supporting in feasibility studies for the continued operation of existing systems and identify and propose any improvements and modifications that may be required to improve efficiency and reduce operations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering relevant fields.
-
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.
