Senior Medical Billing Specialist

Pay starting from $25 per hour depending on experience

Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm, 40 hours per week.

As a Senior Medical Billing Specialist, you’ll need a broad understanding of revenue cycle management, coding and compliance knowledge including ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS II. You should also have a good understanding of various insurance medical policies, requirements and guidelines. Strong ability to problem solve using multiple means such as office training manuals, internal e-mail guidelines, payer websites, internet search features etc. In addition to you will also be working with patients regarding outstanding bills, and handling incoming patient and insurance calls, and assisting with billing discrepancy/issues.

Criteria:

• 7-10 years in medical billing experience
• Experience in insurance claims submission and timely follow up
• Denial management and prompt appeals
• Payment posting and reconciliation
• Insurance eligibility and benefits verification and understanding
• AR aging analysis and resolution (full revenue cycle knowledge)
• Prior experience in handling complex payer issues and escalations
• Experience in high volume medical practices or specialty medical clinic
• Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills.
• Exercises and demonstrate good problem-resolution skills.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.
