We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer (SMO) to lead our Emergency Room (ER) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the ER.
  • Provide prompt and appropriate medical treatment to emergency cases.
  • Supervise junior medical officers, nursing staff, and paramedical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, policies, and standard treatment guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments (ICU, OT, Radiology, Laboratory, etc.) for patient management.
  • Handle critical emergencies and trauma cases effectively.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of patient care and incidents.
  • Participate in emergency response planning, training, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Monitor patient flow, minimize waiting time, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalated cases and operational decisions in the ER.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • MBBS degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Valid PMDC/PMC license (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2–3 years in Emergency Department as supervisory and leadership role.
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MRCEM/FCPS in Emergency Medicine) will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency protocols, triage systems, and life-saving procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Responsible to attend all the training/orientation sessions related to Quality, Safety and regulatory compliance.
