Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop merchandising plans, budgets, and sales forecasts, aligning with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to identify opportunities.
- Product Management:
- Oversee product development, from concept to final product, ensuring quality and cost standards.
- Coordinate with design, production, and sourcing teams for material sourcing, sampling, and approvals.
- Inventory & Operations:
- Manage stock levels, forecast demand, and optimize inventory to prevent overstock/stockouts.
- Manage logistics, ensuring timely shipment and delivery.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and buyers.
- Data & Performance:
- Analyze sales data and product performance to make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare costing sheets, order sheets, and performance reports.
- Leadership & Mentoring:
- Guide and train junior merchandisers and store staff on merchandising techniques.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategies.
