Senior/ Mid level Procurement Specialist

Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the procurement process to support our production operations. You will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of materials, maintaining cost control, and meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials (e.g., iron ore, scrap metal, alloys) and other necessary items for production
• Evaluate supplier performance and develop strong vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and logistics teams to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports

• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum [3-5] years of procurement experience, preferably in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
• Knowledge of raw material markets and import/export regulations is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
