This is a hybrid position. You will need to live within commuting distance to our Mahwah, New Jersey office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to inform analytical methods and assumptions.
Execute advanced finite element analyses, including nonlinear multibody simulations with deformable contact and multi-physics.
Develop and automate simulation techniques using custom programming tools.
Train machine learning algorithms using simulation data to generate more efficient predictive models.
Analyze simulation results and recommend design, material, or process improvements.
Build and validate analytical models to support research and development initiatives.
Collect and integrate physical testing, manufacturing, and clinical data to enhance model accuracy.
Author technical reports for regulatory submissions and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop next-generation orthopaedic technologies and devices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
Experience in modeling and simulation-based research.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Proficiency with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Hyperworks), CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer), and programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python, Fortran).
Familiarity with musculoskeletal simulation platforms (e.g., OpenSim).
Demonstrated ability to contribute to complex research initiatives from concept to recommendation.
Knowledge of mechanics, engineering principles, and product development processes.
$92,600 - $148,400 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
