Senior Officer - Business Continuity

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
To develop, apply, design, and validate the Business Continuity Management System organization wide including support and provision of specialist knowledge in the subject.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifies risks and potential impact to the business and flydubai brand.
  • Establishes a robust framework for corporate business continuity in accordance with ISO standards (ISO 22301) to ensure flydubai is prepared to face disruptions.
  • Plans and reviews the effectiveness of response mechanisms to identified risks/impact for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with all departments to identify existing, standardize and consolidate continuity plans, ensuring alignment with other business areas for standardization and consolidation.
  • Leads the testing and training of Business Continuity actions and response at all levels providing documented feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Liaises with supply chain and key stakeholders to align, optimize and validate business continuity plans for effectivity, ensuring they remain effective and resilient.
  • Monitors corporate changes in policy requiring updates affecting business continuity to align with organizational directives.
  • Conducts periodic reviews to ensure effectiveness of process and procedures and adjusting as needed.
  • Monitors industry and regulatory updates for continued compliance and procedural changes to be incorporated within flydubai.
  • Develops best practices for business continuity, providing guidance to flydubai departments to enhance resilience and operational effectiveness.
  • Leads continued research into industry learnings and promote these insights within flydubai to enhance response and development.
  • Represents the Business Continuity department within Crisis Management Centre on rostered basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Qualification in Risk/Resilience Management or similar
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
  • Broad knowledge of Business Continuity best practices. Experience of working across divisions within a dynamic responsive environment.
  • 4 - 6 years
  • Business Continuity Institute – CBCI or higher

ISR Requirements:
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
