Primary Objectives / Responsibilities:-
- Supports the standardization of specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
- Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.
- Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
- Technical supervision of project-designated Structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty.
- Preparation /checking of Specifications, data sheets.
- Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval
- Review the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports and follow required checking procedures.
- Review Structural drawings and documents for topside and jacket, bridges, bridge support structure, flares etc.
- Knowledge on reassessment of existing structures by performing relevant calculations and providing information for strengthening drawings.
- Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
- Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required.
- Assist Project Team in project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules
- Manage Structural design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
- Prepare and participate in weekly Structural meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures.
- Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with the Lead Engineer.
- Review and advice on layouts, during technical evaluation stage of bidder’s proposals to assess technical capability and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Execute verification, studies and detail design following best engineering practices and optimization in term of cost, construction simplicity, operability and maintainability, HSSE.
- Carry out the design and technical reviews for all areas of work such as Geophysical and geo-technical and site investigation
- Review design specifications for Offshore structural works.
- Review Scope of Work and technical specification for construction subcontracts.
- Review technical documentation for material requisition.
- Design and detailing of preservice analysis is must for the position.
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.
- Specialized expertise of the regulations, codes and standards and a good understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to and Structural design engineering for oil and gas facilities.
- Ensure recognized offshore engineering practices applicable to Structural design are adopted.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills in the Structural discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
- Specialized expertise of the fundamental requirements of the Structural discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
- Specialized expertise of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Specialized experience in developing calculations for in-service, preservice for topside, jacket, bridges, misc. cathodic protection etc.
- Specialized knowledge on reassessment of existing structures/Brownfield works.
- Familiar with Industrial/International Codes and Standards EU/BS, AISC, API, ISO.
- Expertise with Structural software such as: SACS, USFOS, Mathcad and MS Office Software.
Industry Specific Experience:
- Extensive experience in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design of Offshore structures.
- Must have Oil and Gas Industry experience in green-field and brown-field projects.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Full-time bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
Industry Specific Experience:
- Relevant experience in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design of Offshore structures.
- Oil and Gas Industry experience in green-field and brown-field projects.
IT Skills:
- SACS, USFOS, Mathcad, and MS Office Software
