Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and process employee payroll accurately and on time. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a solid understanding of payroll systems, taxation, and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees on a monthly/bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
- Maintain and update payroll records, attendance data, and employee information.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance for inputs like leaves, new hires, resignations, and salary changes.
- Prepare payroll reports, payslips, and compliance filings.
- Manage statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, TDS, and professional tax; ensure timely payment and return filings.
- Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated with payroll-related laws, tax changes, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, finance teams, and third-party payroll service providers if applicable.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities including Form 16 generation and annual tax computations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, HR, or related field.
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of statutory regulations (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, etc.).
- Experience with payroll software such as GreytHR, Zoho Payroll, ADP, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data validation techniques.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-state or multi-country payroll (if applicable).
- Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance audits.
- Familiarity with HRMS or ERP systems.
