Senior Philanthropy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective donors through regular communication, updates, and acknowledgment efforts.
  • Manage the donor database, ensuring data accuracy, segmentation, and timely gift entry and acknowledgment.
  • Coordinate personalized thank-you letters, calls, and recognition efforts for donors at all levels.
  • Create and distribute impact reports and donor newsletters that highlight the organization’s success stories, financial impact, and outcomes.

Fundraising Campaigns & Appeals

  • Plan and implement annual giving campaigns, year-end appeals, Giving Tuesday and Give Miami Day efforts.
  • Develop compelling content and donor-centric messaging for mailings, emails, and online campaigns.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance and donor trends to inform future strategies.

Grants & Foundation Support

  • Support grant application and reporting processes by gathering necessary documentation, impact data, and narrative inputs.
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, submission dates, and reporting requirements.

Event Support (In Partnership with Volunteer & Events Coordinator)

  • Collaborate on donor-facing fundraising events such as annual galas, community fundraisers, and donor appreciation events.
  • Coordinate sponsorship outreach, event fundraising components (e.g., silent auctions, donation drives), and post-event donor follow-up.
  • Support the planning of volunteer-engagement events when donors are involved or recognized.
  • Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, sponsorship outreach, ticketing, and event promotion.

Prospect Research & Cultivation

  • Research prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors using prospect research tools.
  • Prepare donor profiles, meeting briefs, and background reports for leadership and board members.
  • Support strategies to move prospects through the donor pipeline from identification to solicitation and stewardship.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the communications and program teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and storytelling.
  • Provide regular reports to the Executive Leaders on fundraising progress, donor retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Board Fundraising Committee, when applicable.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development roles.
  • Strong public relations and relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tell compelling stories and engage stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze data to support fundraising efforts
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning for fundraising campaigns
  • Proficiency in donor databases or CRMs, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
