We are seeking an experienced
Senior Planning Engineer
to oversee and coordinate maintenance planning and reliability initiatives across our cluster of plants in Egypt. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, optimal resource utilization, and plant reliability, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with corporate KPIs and O&M standards. This role will require flexibility to travel to visit our sites across Egypt.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Performance & Reporting

Develop and monitor plant-specific
KPIs
across the cluster, tracking performance monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Prepare MIS reports highlighting KPI achievements and deviations for senior management.

Analyze budget variances and propose opportunities to improve bottom-line results.
Maintenance & Outage Planning
-
Scope, plan, and coordinate major overhauls, refurbishments, and preventive maintenance activities.

Ensure effective implementation of maintenance strategies and alignment with corporate guidelines.

Optimize resource utilization, critical spares availability, and outage readiness.

Conduct post-outage reviews and implement lessons learned to improve future performance.
Project Mobilization & New Build Support

Prepare and monitor mobilization plans for new projects and ensure O&M readiness.

Support development of lifecycle maintenance plans, CMMS master data, and technical risk registers.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and implementation of lessons learned across the cluster.
Budget, Inventory & Continuous Improvement

Monitor and control maintenance budgets and spares inventory to contribute to P&L improvement.

Implement condition-based and reliability-focused maintenance programs.

Identify and support digital initiatives to optimize planning and reporting processes.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all
HSE, security, and environmental policies
.

Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence across the cluster.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering.
-
6–8 years’ experience in Power/Water Utilities, including conventional and renewable energy plants.

Strong O&M experience with exposure to Power Purchase Agreements is preferred.
Technical Skills
-
Proficient in maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS.

Hands-on experience with SAP, MS Project, and Power BI; knowledge of Primavera is an advantage.

Excellent reporting skills using multiple dashboards and resources, ability to analyze and interpret data to present complex and accurate reports to our stakeholders.

Deep understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.

Strong knowledge of downtime analysis, problem-solving tools, and technical engineering (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation).
