Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Planning Engineer
to play a key role in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling major construction projects including
towers, high-rise buildings and hotels
. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, deep technical planning expertise and substantive
UAE construction experience
to support timely and efficient delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules (baseline programmes, look-ahead and recovery plans) using
Primavera P6
and/or
MS Project
throughout design, procurement and construction phases.

Monitor project progress, conduct
critical path analysis
, trend and risk assessments, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to programme milestones.

Coordinate planning inputs and updates with Project Managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors to collect reliable progress data and forecast delays.

Prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, S-curves, manpower histograms and other planning visuals for internal leadership and clients.

Review and evaluate contractor schedules, delay analyses, and
Extension of Time (EOT)
submissions in line with contract requirements and industry best practices.

Support commercial/contract teams with planning data related to claims, variations and programme impacts.

Facilitate planning and coordination meetings and mentor junior planners to promote best-practice planning standards across the team.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree
in
Civil Engineering
,
Architecture
,
Construction Management
, or a related discipline.
-
Minimum 11–15+ years of professional experience
in planning/project controls within construction, with significant exposure to
tower, high-rise and hotel development projects
.

UAE construction experience is mandatory
with strong understanding of local delivery practices, authority requirements and contract conditions.

Advanced proficiency in
Primavera P6
and/or
MS Project
, plus strong skills in MS Excel and planning analytics tools.

Demonstrated ability to apply schedule risk analysis, delay analysis techniques, and effective planning methodologies to complex projects.

Excellent analytical, reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Planning and project control certifications (e.g.,
PSP – Planning & Scheduling Professional
,
PMI-SP
,
PMP
, AACEI credentials).

Experience preparing and defending contractual claims and programme impacts associated with delays and extensions of time.

Prior involvement with mixed-use and fast-track construction projects.
