Job Description – Planning Engineer

The Planning Engineer is responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The role includes coordaining with project teams to track progress and support effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

-Prepare and develop project baseline schedules using appropriate planning software.

-Develop and maintain detailed project time schedules in coordination with project

management and site teams.

-Prepare manpower histograms, resource loading plans, and productivity analysis.

-Develop project cash flow forecasts based on project schedules and cost plans.

-Establish and maintain the project master schedule and overall work plan.

-Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved schedule.

-Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans when required.

-Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities.

-Identify potential delays and risks and propose mitigation or corrective actions.

-Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule

alignment.

-Prepare progress presentations and dashboards for management review.

-Update schedules regularly and maintain accurate project records and documentation.

-Support project management in claim preparation, delay analysis, and extension of time

(EOT) when applicable as per FIDIC provisions.

-Qualifications & Skills:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

-Experience in project planning and scheduling in construction or engineering projects.

-Proficiency in Primavera and Microsoft Office.

-Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines effectively
