Senior Planning Engineer (Utilities & Infrastructure)

We, at Emarat Aloua are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer with proven expertise in large-scale water pipeline and distribution network projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in project planning, scheduling, and progress control, particularly within the UAE infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for water pipeline and utility infrastructure projects using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, look-ahead schedules, and resource histograms.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identify delays or deviations, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate closely with the engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to align timelines and deliverables.
• Evaluate subcontractor schedules and ensure integration into the master schedule.
• Lead progress review meetings and prepare weekly/monthly reports for internal and client submission.
• Analyze variations, assess impacts, and support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Ensure schedule compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations.
• Maintain clear documentation and control of planning data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in risk management and value engineering exercises.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in project planning, with a special focus on water pipeline and utility network projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure construction workflows, sequencing, and interdependencies.
• Experience working with UAE authorities such as DEWA, ADDC, ADSSC, FEWA, etc., is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and delay analysis methodologies is preferred.
