The Senior Planning & Scheduling Engineer will lead planning and scheduling activities, providing technical oversight and reporting on project progress, milestones, and critical paths. The role requires expertise in scheduling large-scale infrastructure projects, strong analytical skills, and experience in GCC countries.

The project involves extensive land development, including civil infrastructure, utilities, and urban facilities. The Senior Planning & Scheduling Engineer will oversee project planning, develop detailed schedules, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.


  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using recognized planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Monitor project progress and provide early identification of schedule risks and delays.
  • Coordinate with project management, design, civil, MEP, and other disciplines to integrate schedules across all project activities.
  • Support program controls, planning and implementation. Including coordinating high-level resources, schedules and budgets in line with Program objectives
  • Preparation and review of options for phased deliverable to meet Program milestones.
  • Preparation and review of master Level 1, 2 & 3 schedules including monitoring progress against specific schedules provided by 3rd party appointed Consultants including but not limited to PMO, PMC and Contractor.
  • Support preparation and implementation of Program level KPI performance indicators, compliance, improvements and risks
  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior management and clients including providing technical support for Program presentations
  • Conduct schedule reviews, scenario analysis, and “what-if” planning exercises to optimize project delivery.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential schedule-related risks and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Ensure adherence to project milestones, critical path analysis, and timely completion of activities.
  • Mentor and guide junior planning and scheduling engineers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale land development or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in GCC countries, preferably Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project schedules.
