Senior Plumbing Engineer / MEP Project Manager

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level Plumbing Engineer and Project Manager with 5–10 years of design experience supporting residential and commercial real estate developments. This role is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL and focuses on delivering high-quality plumbing system designs for multi-story and high-rise projects.

The ideal candidate has experience working within MEP consulting environments and brings strong technical proficiency in Revit and CAD-based design platforms. This position combines engineering expertise with project oversight responsibilities, supporting projects from schematic design through construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead plumbing system design efforts for residential, commercial, and high-rise developments
  • Produce detailed plumbing plans, riser diagrams, schedules, and construction documentation using Revit and CAD
  • Perform system sizing calculations, fixture unit analysis, water supply and drainage design, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate plumbing layouts with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural disciplines
  • Manage project schedules, technical deliverables, and quality control standards
  • Provide construction phase support including RFI responses, submittal review, and site coordination
  • Ensure compliance with IPC, UPC, and local building codes
  • Maintain thorough documentation and communicate design updates to clients and project stakeholders


Requirements
  • 5–10 years of plumbing engineering design experience in residential and commercial real estate projects
  • Experience working at an MEP consulting engineering firm
  • Proficiency in Revit and CAD software (required)
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, building systems, and high-rise design considerations
  • Demonstrated project management and team coordination experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or related discipline
  • EIT certification or PE license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and client communication skills
