The Senior Power Technician is a critical technical role responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex electrical power systems. You will provide high-level technical support for power distribution units, backup systems, and infrastructure essential to smart motorway and transportation technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on AC/DC power systems, UPS units, and industrial generators.
- Troubleshooting: Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex electrical faults in distribution networks and electronic tolling power interfaces.
- System Installation: Supervise the deployment of power infrastructure for new projects, ensuring compliance with engineering blueprints and safety standards.
- Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical training to junior technicians to improve field efficiency and service quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment health, and site reports for the technical management team.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: DAE (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in power systems, ideally within an industrial or infrastructure-heavy environment.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of switchgear, transformers, battery banks, and solar power integration.
- Software: Basic proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and tracking work orders.
