At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer within EniProgetti Egypt Ltd. in Cairo. You will be responsible for leveraging your extensive experience to guide and mentor junior engineers, while independently managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the highest standards of execution and foster a culture of growth, collaboration and accountability within the engineering team.

Main responsibilities :

  • Act as project coordinator, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
  • Serve as project team coordinator, driving alignment and progress.
  • Finalise assigned tasks within agreed timescales, maintaining high standards of quality in documentation and deliverables.
  • Provide support in planning activities, contributing to accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Adhere to all national Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) laws and strictly follow the company’s corporate HSE policy and safety system. Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all subordinates and verify their compliance with established safety and labour protection rules and regulations.

Skills and experience required :

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Extensive experience in process engineering development.
  • Ability to develop and review BFD, PFD, P&ID, UFD, flow charts and roadmaps.
  • Ability to conduct and validate optimisation studies and calculation analyses and prepare related reports.
  • Ability to compile and check data sheets for equipment and instrumentation.
  • For areas within your responsibility: Develop and review specifications for the purchase of equipment and/or services; Prepare and review technical opinions during the tender phase.
  • For areas within your responsibility: Follow up on documentation issued by suppliers to finalise and optimise detailed engineering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all project execution phases and related technical content.
  • Coordination and management skills for leading the process team assigned to the project.
  • Ability to interface effectively with other technical disciplines in an organised and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to perform budgeting activities, including document lists, estimating man-hours, and execution timelines.
  • Knowledge and application of international codes and standards for engineering activities.
  • Proficiency in IT tools for process simulations.
  • Proven experience in: Developing and reviewing specifications, data sheets and calculation reports.
  • Proven experience in Field engineering activities during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases of systems.
