Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Procurement Specialist / Manager to lead and optimize procurement activities across our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, reducing procurement costs, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in driving supply chain efficiency, cost control, and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and budget objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements.
- Conduct market analysis to stay informed of trends, pricing, and supply risks.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process including RFI/RFQ/RFP management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and forecast demand.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance through KPIs and periodic evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.
- Manage and mentor junior procurement staff (if applicable).
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management (typically 7+ years, including in a senior or lead role).
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba).
- Solid understanding of procurement regulations, compliance, and risk management.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
