Senior Procurement Agent

Locations: Positions are available in Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Maryland

My client, a $3B global engineering contractor is seeking a Senior Procurement Agent to support its growing business and high-visibility programs. This role serves as a key liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders—including Executives, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing—ensuring efficient execution of major projects. This position will manage a $100M spend of electro-mechanicals such as: switch gears, cable, UPS’s, bus stacks, electronics, etc. for the assigned project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement planning during bidding and project execution phases
• Source, qualify, and manage vendors; develop RFPs and analyze proposals
• Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements
• Develop and implement procurement plans post-award
• Monitor market conditions to optimize pricing, lead times, logistics, and compliance
• Interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure complete scope coverage
• Travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree. Engineering or Supply Chain is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a strategic sourcing role for the same or similar industry.
• Strong background in sourcing and negotiating with OEMs, subcontractors, and fabricators
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Positions are onsite - Hybrid or remote is not offered
• Must be a US Citizen and have or be able to have security clearance
