Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Title: Senior Procurement Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare procurement plans and schedules according to project requirements.

· Issue RFQs and request quotations from approved vendors for materials, equipment, and services.

· Evaluate vendor quotations based on price, quality, lead time, and technical specifications, and submit recommendations for approval.

· Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

· Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, coordinating closely with site teams.

· Monitor and track deliveries, maintaining records of received and pending items.

· Ensure proper documentation of supplier agreements, approvals, and correspondence for reporting and auditing purposes.

· Coordinate with project teams and site engineers to anticipate material requirements and avoid delays.

· Assist in monitoring procurement budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and reporting variances to management.

· Maintain vendor database and assist in vendor evaluation and performance tracking.

· Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of delivered materials and escalate discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE laws, and HSE standards in all procurement activities.

· Support the procurement team in continuous improvement of processes, workflows, and reporting mechanisms.

· Preparing reports on procurement status, pending deliveries, and vendor performance for management review.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or Masters in Business.

· Minimum 10 or more years of experience in procurement within the UAE construction industry, with at least 2 years in a team leading role.
