Procurement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives across the AWR Real Estate category of spend this includes managing the award of Capex projects for the below business verticals

  • Property Development - Engineering Project requirements – Construction of state-of-the-art private villas / communities office + retail Mixed Used Buildings

  • Major and minor renovation works for AWR owned properties via Facilities Management team

  • Construction and major renovation of AWR showroom, service stations etc via the Automotive teams

  • Construction and major renovation of AWR owned Retail stores

  • Propoerty Development & Renovation projects for the Family office teams

  • Assess the market factors and develop specific sourcing strategies to manage the construction (Capex) spend

  • Analyse the opportunity for global supply chain, optimize cost and achieve competitive advantage and value add for the procurement & supply function

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and oversee complex, high-value negotiations to deliver measurable cost savings and service improvements
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies, governance frameworks, and external regulations
  • Collaborate with business verticals to appoint suitable projects consultants and contractors through proper pre-qualification and technical scoring criteria as per the procurement policy and procedures
  • Ensure a good understanding of FIDIC Book – Standard Forms of Contracts for conditions of Construction, Plant Design and Build and Turn Key contracts

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM

  • Focus on improving supplier relationships while implementing total quality approach to improve cost quality while focusing on sustainable initiatives with strategic suppliers
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews using KPIs and scorecards, focusing on cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and compliance
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational needs
  • Oversee supplier onboarding, due diligence, and offboarding processes in collaboration with Legal and Risk teams

Operational Excellence

Oversee the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle with a focus on operational efficiency, internal controls, and automation
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate purchase order creation, timely invoice approval, and budget tracking
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, compliance concerns, and sustainability issues
  • Support ERP rollouts and drive adoption of procurement technology solutions, such as e-sourcing platforms

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, building capability and fostering a culture of performance and accountability
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, finance, legal, and operations teams on procurement-related matters
  • Present procurement insights, cost-optimization strategies, and risk management plans to senior leadership and executive committees

Educational Qualification

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, PMP) is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance frameworks, contract law, and supplier risk management

Work Experience

12-15 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement transformation

  • Experience managing procurement across multiple categories (direct, indirect, services, CAPEX/OPEX)
