Senior Procurement Specialist

Looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end procurement of oilfield supplies, including pipes, flanges, valves, and fittings. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with global suppliers, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The position reports to the Procurement or Supply Chain Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials such as pipes, flanges, fittings, valves, gaskets, and stud bolts from international and local suppliers.
• Analyze purchase requisitions, request quotes, and prepare comparative statements for supplier selection.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Place purchase orders and manage the order-through-delivery process, including tracking and expediting.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders and contracts.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to manage inbound shipments and customs clearance.
• Resolve issues related to late deliveries, material quality, or invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist, Senior Buyer, or a similar role, preferably within the oilfield supply, industrial, or metals sector.
• Demonstrable experience in sourcing and procuring technical industrial products (pipes, valves, fittings, etc.).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Understanding of international trade and import/export processes is required.
• Ability to analyze technical specifications and material test certificates is preferred.
