As an Sr. Analyst / Sr. Buyer, you will be responsible for handling the end to end sourcing operations for the defined category / categories or country / countries. The resource is required to appraise and improve Uber’s sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.
  • Builds effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and lead and influence change.
  • Proactively generates sourcing options based on Spend analysis conducted or based on the in flight Purchase Requisitions and partners with leaders to implement them.
  • Contributes significantly to the achievement of defined performance targets and assists in driving the performance of associated Suppliers;
  • Participate or manage lower/medium competitive RFXs, as necessary, and manages negotiation strategy development, overseeing or conducting the competitive negotiation process as needed;
  • Work with stakeholders in planning, issuance or Purchase Orders, Expediting with Suppliers and conducting Supplier performance reviews.
  • Manages analysis in order to scope and prioritize new sourcing opportunities within project area(s);
  • Provides input and support for continuous improvement programs within the function and organization.
  • Supports the development, evaluation, and presentation of business case and cost/benefit analysis to stakeholders;
  • Communicates proactively with all stakeholders.
  • Understands supply and demand and keeps routinely informed of market conditions.
  • Participates in negotiation strategy development and leads the competitive negotiation process.
  • Develops plans for implementation and change management for projects.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking and continues to develop deep category knowledge;
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy Suppliers
  • Understanding of supplier contracts - Contract management activities
