Senior Product Designer, Marketplace

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Marketplace team and own ordering and checkout experiences across the app.

This role focuses on high-frequency, state-heavy purchase journeys: product page, cart, checkout, payment, and post-order flows. These are systems users rely on daily and expect to “just work” — even when things go wrong. The role sits within our Customer-Facing Area and focuses on mobile experiences across the Super App. You’ll work on a mature, live product with real scale, real constraints, and measurable impact. This is not a greenfield role. It’s about improving, evolving, and scaling what already exists.

🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On

• End-to-end ordering experience: product page, cart, checkout, payment
• Post-order flows: tracking, cancellations, refunds, ratings, issue resolution
• Pricing, fees, tips, and total cost transparency
• Error states, edge cases, and recovery scenarios (failed payments, stock changes, delivery issues)
• Improving conversion, clarity, and user confidence in high-frequency purchase journeys
• Experiment-driven improvements (A/B tests, gradual rollouts, data-informed iteration)
• Iterating on a live product used daily, under real operational constraints
• You’ll work on features that ship often and are closely measured
• Own end-to-end design of ordering and checkout experiences within the Marketplace area
• Take responsibility for the quality and evolution of these flows — not just individual screens
• Solve complex, multi-step, state-heavy problems with many dependencies
• Proactively identify weak points in purchase journeys and propose improvements
• Balance user needs, operational realities, and technical constraints — and help the team make informed trade-offs
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writer, UX Researcher, and other Designers
• Use research, analytics, and experiment results to guide decisions
• Support design QA and ensure implemented UI matches intended behavior
• Contribute to shared patterns and raise improvements to the Design System when needed
• This role expects senior-level ownership: responsibility for outcomes, not just execution
  
  

🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring

• You have strong product design experience (typically 5+ years, guidance not a rule) and are comfortable owning complex product areas end to end
• You’ve worked with checkout, payments, or other high-stakes, state-heavy flows
• You care about UI craft and interaction details — clarity, hierarchy, states, and micro-moments matter to you
• You enjoy refining flows until they feel predictable, trustworthy, and easy under pressure
• You’re comfortable working with experiments, metrics, and iteration loops
• You can explain your design decisions clearly and collaborate calmly with others
• You’re happy staying hands-on in design rather than moving into people management
• You can support and mentor other designers through feedback and example (without being a manager)

You’ll be joining a multicultural Product Design team of 18+ designers working across customer-facing products, merchant tools, and internal platforms.

Designers are embedded in product teams and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, and Researchers — solving problems together, not in silos.
