Senior Production Chemist

Job Title – Senior Production Chemist

Location – Dubai

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests to monitor oil, water, and gas systems, ensuring process and product quality in the assigned production field

• Develop and execute laboratory procedures according to ASTM and API standards

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including Gas Chromatography, Ionic Chromatography, Karl Fischer meters, Coulter counter, Dionex, and Flow Injection Analyzer

• Monitor production chemical performance and support deployment to optimize flow assurance and asset integrity

• Support troubleshooting and provide technical recommendations to operations and engineering teams

• Analyze crude oil, produced water, and lube oil samples and certify quality for export operations

• Support corrosion monitoring, scaling analysis, and chemical QA/QC programs

• Maintain laboratory reagents, instruments, calibration, and records

• Assist operators with sampling and ensure sample integrity offshore

• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with HSE and safety procedures

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from a recognized university

• 6 to 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a laboratory or production chemist with an operator

• Strong analytical skills in oil, water, and gas systems, lube oil analysis, and corrosion monitoring

• Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography, Ionic Chromatography, Karl Fischer meters, Coulter counter, Dionex, and Flow Injection Analyzer

• Knowledge of production chemicals and their deployment is an advantage

• Good written and spoken English with computer skills

• Willingness to work offshore on a 28 days on 28 days off rotation
