Job Description
- Supervise and manage daily site operations for civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.
- Serve as a key liaison between consultants, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.
- Prepare and present daily activity reports, weekly progress updates, and monthly performance summaries, addressing milestones, risks, and corrective actions.
- Track project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement effective recovery strategies to maintain contractual timelines.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, codes, and industry best practices.
- Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and material samples to confirm compliance with design requirements.
- Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, promoting safe work practices and a strong safety culture across the site team.
- Support cost control efforts by monitoring material usage, verifying work progress, and assisting in the preparation of interim payment applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, site supervisors, and foremen in resolving construction and design-related challenges.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, as-built drawings, and contractual communications.
- Participate in client, consultant, and internal coordination meetings, ensuring timely communication of progress, risks, and technical issues.
- Contribute to value engineering, process improvements, and resource optimization to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- 8–12 years of proven experience in civil site supervision and project management (residential, commercial, high-rise, or infrastructure).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office applications, and project planning software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, QA/QC standards, and local authority approval processes.
- Good understanding of contracts, technical documentation, and project approval workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license are highly desirable.
