Job Responsibilities for Civil Engineer (Infrastructure)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a minimum of 10 to 15 years in civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate must possess a valid CAT A or B CRPEP license and have extensive experience in various civil engineering works related to infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Oversee and manage infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Construction Supervision:
  • Supervise construction activities related to open trench works, sheet piling, excavation, and dewatering operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all construction activities.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical guidance on the laying of pipelines, sewerage, and stormwater lines, ensuring proper installation and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control assessments on materials and construction methods used in infrastructure projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all infrastructure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and materials.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure integrated planning and execution of infrastructure projects.
  • Facilitate communication between different departments and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project objectives.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Mentorship and Training:
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and support staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Emergency Response Planning:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans related to infrastructure failures or natural disasters, ensuring safety and risk management measures are in place.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 -15 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure engineering.
  • Valid CAT A or B CRPEP license is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: BD700.000 - BD1,000.000 per month
