Today, Liberal is a global organization headquartered in the U.S., providing design/build (D/B) and design/bid/build (D/B/B) services for U.S. Government and private-sector customers.

The Jr. Mechanical Engineer will support the design review, estimation, and site supervision of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting for various projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role involves assisting with technical evaluations, preparing documentation, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design review and coordination of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Support estimation and quantity take-offs based on construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approval requests.
• Perform site inspections under supervision to verify installation quality and compliance with design standards.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities including DALT/TAB coordination.
• Help prepare mechanical BOQs and review vendor/supplier quotations.
• Participate in technical meetings and coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Support in preparing daily reports, material inspection reports, RFIs, and punch list tracking logs.
• Learn and assist with construction project documentation and close-out procedures.
• Comply with safety and quality procedures on-site and during project execution.

Knowledge, Experience, and Special Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university
• 0–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering (internships count)
  
• Strong academic record with solid engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with interpreting mechanical design drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of construction processes and mechanical system installation
• Awareness of relevant codes and standards
• Clear English communication, analytical mindset, and high attention to detail
