We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience managing complex projects from initiation through closure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in managing and working on Governmental projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and navigating challenges in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and business goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, while optimizing human and financial resources to maximize efficiency.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, and changes, adopting both agile and waterfall methodologies as needed.
- Implement quality assurance processes and monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment, and resolve conflicts to ensure a productive project atmosphere.
- Develop and implement a communication plan to engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation within project management practices.
- Oversee the handover of project deliverables, ensure deliverables acceptance, conduct post-project evaluations, and ensure all project documentation is completed and archived.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in Project Management.
- Proven track record of experience in managing and working in Governmental projects. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a must.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with higher ranks and upper management, both internal and external.
