Role Purpose
The Senior Project Manager leads complex event deliveries and oversees multiple projects simultaneously. They take a leading role in pitches, manage project teams, own budgets, and maintain strong client relationships. The Senior Project Manager ensures that all projects meet strategic goals, financial targets, and creative ambitions while mentoring junior team members.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Complex Project Delivery
Lead multiple or high-complexity projects simultaneously, ensuring strategic objectives and timelines are met. Take accountability for all stages from planning and pitch to execution and post-event review. Apply experience to foresee issues early and implement preventive solutions across projects.
2. Client Liaison & Relationship Building
Act as a senior point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle. Build strong relationships, manage expectations, and ensure transparent, solution-oriented communication.
3. Budget Control & Financial Strategy
Build and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with commercial targets. Use data from previous events to model accurate forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee BOQs and scopes of work to ensure procurement can engage suppliers effectively.
4. Cross-Functional Planning
Ensure integration of creative, production, operations, experience, marketing, and sponsorship teams. Lead coordination sessions to align roles, dependencies, and critical paths.
5. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Supervise Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, providing direction, support, and quality control. Offer coaching and feedback to build capability within the team. Ensure responsibilities are well delegated and aligned with each team member s strengths.
6. Masterplan Review & Strategic Use
Ensure the masterplan is used as a live management tool across the team. Review site layouts, health and safety protocols, and project-wide logistics to maintain consistency and accuracy.
7. Operational Process Implementation
Apply and enforce agency SOPs, workflows, and operational playbooks within your project teams. Ensure that all documentation, timelines, approvals, and client communications follow structured protocols. Act as a process champion, helping team members understand and adopt new tools and systems. Provide feedback to the leadership team on what s working and where refinements are needed.
 
 
About You
Experienced Leader 5+ years managing complex events, ideally within the Middle East, with a firm grasp of project delivery, client engagement, and financial acumen.
Strategic & Proactive You plan ahead, foresee risks, and act decisively to keep projects on track.
Mentor & Team Builder You inspire, guide, and develop others while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Integrated Thinker You effortlessly connect creative, operational, and financial dots across diverse teams.
